10 Year anniversary of sacombank Cambodia
On June 22, 2019, Sacombank Cambodia successfully organized “10th Anniversary of Sacombank Cambodia”. It’s been 10 years since Sacombank opened its first Phnom Penh branch on 23/06/2009, making it the first Vietnamese bank to expand its business in Cambodia. This pioneering step is a fundamental condition for Sacombank to build an impressive feartured brand in this country and provide comprehensive financial solutions to customers and support Cambodian – Vietnamese business community. On October 1, 2011, according to the approval of National Bank of Cambodia, Sacombank Cambodia officially transform from a branch into a 100% foreign-owned subsidiary bank, with legal status and independent accounting. At present, Sacombank Cambodia has 01 Head Office and 9 Branches (6 Branches in Phnom Penh, 1 Branch in Kampong Cham province, 1 Branch in Kandal Province and 1 Branch in Siem Reap Province). With 275 young, dynamic, creative employees has contributed to Sacombank Cambodia’s business activities becoming more stable, growing steadily over the years, providing diverse financial products and services to customers and contribute to the development of Cambodia.

By the end of December 2018, Sacombank Cambodia’s total assets reached 179 million USD, total deposits reached 143 million USD, total loans reached 140 million USD and are serving nearly 20,000 customers in the area.

At the ceremony, Mr. Duong Cong Minh – Chairman of Sacombank stated that he recognized the proud achievements of Sacombank in general, Sacombank Cambodia in particular was created from belief, from the dedication and enthusiasm of all management and staff; a solid foundation of corporate culture, a wide network and modern technology, the interest and support of National Bank of Cambodia, state management agencies, media agencies; the cooperation of partners and investors; and especially self-confidence – the companion of customers.

For Sacombank Cambodia, Mr. Duong Cong Minh wants the collective leaders and employees to continue to promote the traditional values of Sacombank, consolidate the corporate culture to take “Khách hàng là trọng tâm, nhân sự là nòng cốt” guideline for long-term sustainable development in Cambodia market, it is determined to bring Sacombank Cambodia to become a modern, multi-functional, efficient, creditworthy retail bank in the financial system of Cambodia.

The representative of National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), H.E Chea Chanto – Govennor of the National Bank of Cambodia acknowledged the development of Sacombank Cambodia, the first Vietnamese bank to open its branch in. SacomBank Cambodia has gradually increased capital to meet new demand of customers, complying with regulations of the National Bank of Cambodia and the Bank has expanded its network to 9 branches according to the development trend. These achievements can be shown that the presence of Sacombank Cambodia has demonstrated confidence of Vietnamese investors in Cambodia and indicated the increase of trade commerce between Vietnam and Cambodia.
